Yummy Chocolate and Peppermint Bark

You will need:

saltine crackers (about 20)

1 stick of butter

1 tsp of vanilla

1/4 cup sugar

12 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips

crushed candy canes (about 1/2 cup)

Put wax paper on a cookie sheet.  Lay out Saltines close together in a single layer on top.  Melt butter, vanilla and sugar on the stovetop.  Pour over Saltines.  Melt chocolate chips in microwave or double broiler and pour over crackers, trying to cover as much of them as possible.  You may have to spread it out with a utensil.  Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.  Freeze overnight.  Break into pieces and serve.

White Trash – don’t let the name or the ingredients fool you

You will need:

2 cups of Rice Crispies

2 cups of peanut butter Captain Crunch

2 cups of crushed pretzels (the thin ones work best)

1 cup of peanuts

16 oz of white chocolate chips

Mix everything but the white chocolate chips in a bowl.  Melt the chocolate in the microwave.  Mix in little by little to get most of the ingredients covered.  Spread on wax paper and let it harden.  This can take a couple of hours in the fridge but you can make it the night before, cover it and leave it out.  Break it into bite-sized pieces and serve.
